Dating Is Awkward, But So Is Becoming The Crazy Cat Lady

The Victim and I hit it off. Physically, he wasn't my type, but when he opened his mouth I melted. He had so much to say; he was well-travelled, intelligent, creative and ambitious. And he was a teacher. (If you ever want to turn me on or get me into the sack, just tell me you're a teacher...there's something incredibly hot about a dude who can stimulate me both mentally and physically....ironically though, I've never dated a teacher. LOL. Ahh, Simplenigmaisms...)

And when we kiss, I feel butterflies in my stomach...Do you know how hard it is for ME to feel butterflies??!! I'm scared of caterpillars, for crissakes. And he does this thing - where he strokes my arm, or my leg, or the back of my neck while we're talking - that I find so incredibly endearing.

But alas, we may be at two different points in our lives. He's young and his plate is full...and while there's nothing wrong with being the dessert that is saved for last and savored, I'm feeling the need to be the main course right now: where he spends so much of his time enjoying me, that he's full and sated that there IS no room for dessert.

So I must bid The Victim adieu for now, and hope that maybe sometime in the future, there'll be room on his plate for me.
