Oh Dear

Remember how I said you can't find true love on Halloween? I feel the same way about New Year's Eve...Everyone is either pregnant with too-lofty expectations of the new year, jaded from the previous year's disappointments, or just bent on having a good time.

Going in, I was in the latter category. After last year's new year's eve, which I spent with overweight, single women who'd just given up on life, I knew it could only get better.

At the stroke of midnight, I was kissing my trusty stand-in and BFF, H. It's nothing new...we've been each other's back up every year when she didn't have a boyfriend (as you know, I've never actually been in a serious relationship on New Year's Eve. LOL).

Three hours and at least one bottle of champagne later, however, I was having a hot pashing session with Mr. Anonymous. Yes, you read right, Mr. Anonymous. The same Mr. Anonymous who stood me up for Tribeca, who I had went away with and didn't so much as hold hands, and who is so gorgeous that he literally turns heads whenever I hang out with him. So much for my "not just fine in 2009" mantra. LOL.

And it was AH-MAZING. Whew. If there's one thing I know, it's a good kisser, and boy was he a good kisser.

I'd wanted to ring in the new year with a bang, and I guess I did...even though it wasn't the bang I've been missing for the past year. LOL.

God, hope it doesn't get awkward...I really do like hanging out with him.
