The Sphynx aka The Hairless Cat

A couple years ago, in a fit of daring (or idiocy, depending on how you look at it), I shaved off all my pubic hair. Not the low cut pageboy, to which my privates had become accustomed, but bikini-line bald. My significant other at the time refused to even look at it, let alone mess around.

“If I look at it and get excited,” he explained, staring fixedly at the television while I got dressed, “I’m gonna feel like a pervert. Grown men aren’t supposed to enjoy seeing no hair on a woman's crotch…it’s a little sick, if you ask me.”

I couldn’t understand it; I was sure he’d be tickled at the idea of getting a good, unfettered look at it all. Men can be so confusing sometimes! So I talked it over with my friend Colin, who agreed with the S.O. “Think about it: when you’re just looking at that area, one of the few things that differentiate a woman from a girl is the hair. When that’s not there, it screws up a guy’s whole thought process.” He said this as if his rationale made perfect sense.

I thought otherwise. “You’re both overanalyzing the situation,” I told him. “The last thing a guy’s thinking about is child vs. woman when there's a naked, horny woman in front of him. After all, if I see a dude who’s bald down there, I’m not gonna think he’s a little boy!”

“That’s because he’ll have the size of a grown man!” he retorted.

Hmm….I hadn’t thought of that….but I still don’t think most dudes view a woman with a bald pubis as unsexy, or would be conflicted about bedding one.
