Mmm, Mmm, Mmm, Mmm, Mmm

I met a gorgeous guy the other night. Physically, he's more Twin's type than mine, but I went to the bar to get a drink and did a double-take. He was foine. Dark chocolate skin, close cropped hair, and a really, really nice pair of lips. And he was dressed really nice considering the location.

So my stalkerish tendencies immediately went into overdrive. I resolved to be doing the cool and deadly with this man in some dark corner by the end of the night.

If there's one thing you can say about me is that I do the things I set my mind to. LOL. When Fate (and my girl) serendipitously deposited me next to him, I knew I was one step closer to my goal. But when 5 minutes went by and he didn't make a move, I decided to take matters into my own hands. His back was turned to me, but I didn't let that stop me.

"Nice shirt," I said.
He smiled - a little gap and slightly crooked, but sexy. "Thank you."

He didn't turn back around. Another minute passes, then: "If you'd like to dance..."

He didn't have to finish the sentence; I was already moving closer.

So we danced all night; close, with his fingers in the small of my back holding me close. And to top it off, he was Jamaican. *sigh*

The perfect evening. So what if he lives upstate? LOL. I just can't win.

Remember Slim Shady's relative with the lap dog? He tried to holla at me the same night - and invited me to go out with him the night afterwards.

What can I say? I was on fire that night...LOL

(P.S. What are you giving up for Lent? It's that time of year again. This year, it'll be America's Next Top Model and sex - the latter won't be much of a stretch though. LOL. I feel so pathetic.)

Um new possibility...

I like the technique..

I tend to just stare invitingly until they come over.

My pet peeve tends to be a guy who call an hour after you left the party. Marinate a little...

@CP: I usually do the staring thing, but it was dark, so I wasn't too keen on it working.

Maybe not an hour after the club (Slim Shady's Relative called me 10 minutes after I gave him my number), but I like when he calls the next day. Makes me feel like he's interested and he thinks I'm a great catch, so he wants to follow up before someone else swoops in.

@GC: Having kids is surprisingly not a deal breaker for me. LOL. Considering that I'm not kid-friendlyn maybe it should be. LMAO.

But I don't know. That'll be conversation #2.

@CP's second comment. LMAO. Yeah, good luck with that. Every day I go to work, I have negative thoughts...usually involving a coworker and the back side of my hand...

@Irie Diva: I see 'em all the time when I come to JA. I won't believe that all of them migrated.

@SNE: Dream big and start small. LOL.

Man SE, you make me feel like I need to woman up already. The thought of approaching a man still gives me butterflies lol...fear of rejection is a serious ting.
